My Grandmother by A .b.b

Hello everyone. Today I would like to share my story with you about my best grandmother.

Over 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old., my grandma lived with us. She was a wise lady. She had wisdom in life. She told me lots of tales before sleeping but when I was grown up I realised those tales were terrible.

I am similar to my grandma in personality. My mum always said to me, “You are quite like your grandma.” Also, in hobbies she created some ideas by herself just like me.

After living with us, she married and moved with her husband to live in the mountain. I felt very sad when she moved because I couldn’t live without her.

In the past, there was not any connection between the town and mountain like nowadays. I never contacted her after she moved.

One day, my dad surprised me and he told me, “You will visit your grandmother early in the morning.” I was so excited with that news and I couldn’t wait until the morning came.

The morning came and I prepared myself. Then, my trip started. My grandmother didn’t know I was coming until I arrived, I screamed “Nana” and I started crying.

In the beginning, I was shocked about the place where she lived. That was the first time I visited mountain. Living in the town was very different to living in the mountain.

She woke up early in the morning and milked the goat to get milk. Then, she filled the bucket from the well. Also, she brought the fresh eggs from the chicken coop.

After that, she lit the wood in the traditional clay oven to bake bread. The smell in the air was amazing.

I really liked her simple life in the mountain. It was a natural life. She was really relaxed and enjoyed her life with no stress and no depression like nowadays.

She was a creative lady. She created many things. She taught me how to roll a ball of wool for making wool blankets. She used to make wool blankets on a loom (a wooden machine). She had a wool blanket business. I thought she spent all her time on creativity.

Finally, I stayed with her for one week but I wanted to live there all my life because I really liked that life.

Have you lived with your grandmother before?
