Does The Rose Collective work face-to-face?
At the moment, we only work online. This means that anyone can join us.
Is The Rose Collective a business or a charity or something else?
We are neither a business nor a charity. The Rose Collective is an Unincorporated Association. This means that we are a small group run by volunteers. We do not currently accept nor give money to anyone. Of course, this also means that we do not make a profit.
We are a grassroots organisation. This means that we were started by a group of people for others who are in a similar situation. We are a collective, so the Advisory Board makes decisions together. There is not one “big boss”.
Do you give advice about visas or citizenship?
No, we do not give advice about visas or citizenship.
Do you give classes for exams like ESOL Skills for Life or Functional Skills?
No, we do not give classes to prepare for any exams. We are a place where you can practise and improve your English so this could help if you are doing exams in other place.
Why are you women-only and how can I ask questions about this?
We have chosen to be women-only. The founding members (the women who set up the organisation) discussed this a lot when they were starting the organisation. Please contact us by email us at therosecollective.uk@gmail.com if you have any questions about this.
