Good friends can make any place feel like home by Yuliana Savchuk

When I first came to the UK, I was worried that it would be difficult to make new friends. However, English classes helped me meet amazing people from different countries. I met two wonderful friends there: Esther from Hong Kong and Afaf from Libya. Even though we grew up in different cultures, we quickly found many things in common.

Esther is kind, funny, and very supportive. She always listens carefully and gives good advice when someone has a problem. Afaf is open-minded, encouraging and patient.

We often talk about our lives, families, traditions, and dreams for the future. I enjoy learning more about their cultures, and I think our friendship helps us understand the world better. We also support each other while learning English because sometimes living in a new country can feel challenging.

I am very grateful that I met Esther and Afaf in the UK. They made my life here brighter and happier. This experience showed me that true friendship does not depend on nationality or language. Good friends can make any place feel like home.
